Decreased fat = decreased inflammation

The article explains that modest weight loss, especially abdominal fat loss, reduces inflammatory cells that attack the body. Excess fat essentially creates a perma-inflammation response systemically which contributes to all sorts of un-fun side effects that can include gastric inflammations (which can cause severe abdominal pain) and inflammation of skin and joint systems.
